Getting better

Sheana, the love of my life has been extremly patient with me these past 2 weeks. I'm diving into an endeavor that I am only somewhat familiar with. I partially blame her for giving me the motivation to do something that I've never done before. Hopefully it will lessen the blow if we are not as successful as I hope to be. Nevermind that.

I am starting a Crossfit affiliate at Dynorock in Arlington Texas. They have a strong client base so it should help in getting this affiliate off the ground. We have a ways to go before actually affiliating. We have not used 'Crossfit' as a selling point but will adhere to many of there standards. Becoming an affiliate is a goal we hope to obtain very soon.

Short and Sweet.

Here is a photo of our gym.

A long way to go

Today's WOD: 5x3 Front Squats then bottom to bottom Tabata Squats. Bottom to bottom Tabata squats are as many as possible air squats in 20 seconds followed by 10 seconds of rest for 8 rounds. The resting position being the bottom of the squat. Not much of a rest if you ask me. Click the link for a video demonstration.

I've got a lot of stuff I need to cover on this blog with wedding updates ranking at the top. Sheana and I have set a wedding date of March 20, 2010. Details are pending and we are diligently working to get all the plans complete. Engagement photos, yes, the photos from way back in March 0f 2006 will be posted here soon.

THE WOD

Not that too many people are interested but the most frequent updates found on my blog will be the WOD aka the Workout of the day. I do Crossfit if you don't know what Crossfit is I strongly encourage you to go www.Crossfit.com and find out. If you wish you can call me I am more than willing to tell you about it.

I follow the WOD's posted at GSX. Today's WOD:

7 Rounds

7 Thrusters 95#
7 Pull-ups
7 Burpees

completion time: 10:51

Thrusters and Burpees are a tough combination.

Ranger Game

Here goes my attempt at blogging. What has led me to start blogging is quite a surprise, it is a story for another time. I certainly do not feel important enough to have a blog so that is not the reason.

I have quite a bit to learn on how to blog what is appropriate and more importantly what is not appropriate. I'm sure I will have qite few inappropriate speed bumps on this blog. But I guess if a person doesn't like it they don't have to read it.

My first post is of the Ranger Game. I'm embarressed to say this but this is my first Ranger game all season. My family used to make games on a regular basis. Every season held high hopes just to see those high hopes dashed by losing season after season...that might not be true, it is just as likely increasing beer prices.
Witnessed this at the game check it out: http://www.bustedcoverage.com/?p=18609

Either way first game this year, first blog post ever.
